PESHAWAR (92 News) – A three-party alliance has rejected the results of local bodies elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, announcing a protest movement against the alleged rigging across the province from June 10. The alliance comprising of the ANP, PPP and the JUI-F has also asked KP Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak to resign. The alliance leaders said that shutdown strike and demonstrations will be staged against the provincial government. They alleged that results are still being changed despite using the state machinery. ANP secretary general Mian Iftikhar said that the PTI had made fun of democracy through record rigging in the local bodies elections. A committee has been set up to include other parties in the protest movement.
