MASTUNG (92 News) At least three personnel of the Balochistan Constabulary were martyred, and more than 15 were injured in a powerful explosion targeting a police truck in the Shamsabad area of Mastung on Tuesday morning.

According to official sources, the police vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device (IED) planted on a motorcycle parked by the roadside. The Balochistan Constabulary officers were returning from duty when the blast occurred.

The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals, with a state of emergency declared at Bolan Medical Complex and Civil Hospital Quetta. Authorities confirmed that at least two of the wounded are in critical condition and have been moved to Quetta for advanced medical care.

Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind stated that Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has directed Health Minister Bakht Kakar to ensure the best possible treatment for the injured and warned that any negligence would not be tolerated.

Security forces have cordoned off the area, and a search operation is underway. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

This latest incident underscores the ongoing security challenges in Balochistan, a region that continues to face persistent militant threats.
