Three soldiers martyred, as many terrorists killed in DI Khan

RAWALPINDI (92 News) - Three soldiers were martyred and as many terrorists killed during an exchange of heavy fire in Dera Ismail Khan.

According to a press release issued by the ISPR on Tuesday, terrorists opened fire on a police check post in general area Khutti, DI Khan District. After getting information, security forces immediately cordoned the area and blocked all possible escape routes.

Fleeing terrorists were intercepted in general area Saggu, Dera Ismail Khan District. After an intense exchange of fire, three terrorists were killed. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the terrorists.

During the exchange of fire, Havaldar Muhammad Azhar Iqbal (age 42 years, resident of Lodhran), Naik Muhammad Asad (age 34 years, resident of Khanewal) and Sepoy Muhammad Essa (age 22 years, resident of South Waziristan) having fought gallantly embraced martyrdom.

Sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area. Pakistan Army is determined to eliminating the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.
