Three terrorists killed, two security forces personnel martyred in Kurram

KURRAM (92 News) - In an intense exchange of fire during operation in Kurram district, three terrorist were killed and an army officer and a soldier were martyred on Tuesday.

According to a statement of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), two security forces personnel were martyred during an area sanitisation operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Kurram District.

The ISPR also said that the operation was conducted after security forces had received reports of terrorists' presence in the area. "In an exchange of fire, three terrorists were killed, a-cordon-and-search operation is underway to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area," it added.

The security forces personnel who were martyred are Captain Basit, 25, who is a resident of Haripur; and Sepoy Hazrat Bilal, 22, who is a resident of Orakzai.
