RAWALPINDI (92 News) - Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that time has come to resolve Kashmir dispute as per the aspirations of Kashmiri people and UN Resolutions to end this human tragedy.

In a statement, the army chief paid glowing tributes to the valiant struggle of Kashmiri people. He said the Kashmiris are braving gravest atrocities, human rights violations and lockdown in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K).

On the other hand, the nation is observing Kashmir Solidarity Day to express wholehearted support of Pakistani nation to the just struggle of Kashmiri people for their inalienable right to self-determination under United Nations resolutions today.

The day will highlight the plight of oppressed Kashmiri people and remind the world community of its obligations towards the resolution of the outstanding dispute.

The day being marked to expose worst ever oppression being perpetrated by Indian occupation forces against Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K). One minute silence will be observed at 10:00 am across the country.

Human chains will be formed at Kohala, Mangla, Holar and Azad Pattan points linking Pakistan and AJK. Besides different parts of Pakistan, the Kashmir solidarity rallies will also be held in the rest of the world. The Pakistan government has announced a public holiday in connection with the Kashmir Solidarity Day today.

The events will be organised in a novel manner to expose the tattered and sham face of so-called Indian democracy prevailing in Delhi that ripped off the special status of Kashmir on August 05, 2019.
