Time to come when canals of oil will flow in country, says PM Imran Khan

FAISALABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan laid the foundation stone of Allama Iqbal Industrial City in Faisalabad on Friday. Addressing the groundbreaking ceremony, the prime minister said that the establishment of special economic zones is a great step towards the vision of Pakistan. “It is my vision to turn Pakistan into a state like Madina,” he said. The prime minister said that the state is responsible for the welfare of the weak section of the society. He said that the government will promote the agriculture sector. “How will the country make progress if we will not make the investment?. We will have to advance the technical education.” PM Imran Khan said that China is a country making rapid progress in each sector. “The world is afraid of the progress of China which is our best friend,” he added. He expressed the resolve to bring the industry. “The time will come when canals of oil will flow. We have amended the NAB Ordinance to promote the investment,” he maintained. The prime minister expressed the hope that there will be no dacoit and mafia visible in the country. Allama Iqbal Industrial City, Faisalabad is the first Prioritized Special Economic Zone in Pakistan. Its Phase I will be completed in 2021. Allama Iqbal Industrial City is strategically located on Motorway M-4 at Sahianwala Interchange Faisalabad. Nine Special Economic Zones have been planned under China Pakistan Economic Corridor Industrial Cooperation Framework. Allama Iqbal Industrial City will create 300,000 Job Opportunities for the people of Punjab in next five years and is in line with Prime Minister's Vision of creating 10 Million Jobs. The project will attract approximately Rs400 billion investment in automobiles, value added textiles, engineering, pharmaceuticals, food processing, chemicals, construction materials, packaging sectors. It will contribute to the GDP of Pakistan, increase the exports of the country and will also encourage import substitution. Three SEZs out of nine have been declared as Prioritized Special Economic Zones by Pakistan and China governments including Allama Iqbal Industrial City, Faisalabad in Punjab, Rashakai SEZ in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Dhabajee SEZ in Sindh.
