LAHORE (92 News) – Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) ameer Hafiz Saad Rizvi was released from Kot Lakhpat jail on Thursday.

A large number of workers accorded him a rousing welcome at on his arrival at Masjid Rehmatul-Lil-Alameen. Hafiz Saad Rizvi will participate in the Urs of his father Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi to be held from November 19 to 21.

Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat said that the provincial government had implemented all points of the agreement.

"We hope the other side will also show responsible action. The case of Hafiz Saad Rizvi was with the Federal Review Board which has decided to release him. If someone's release established peace, then it a good thing," he maintained.

PTI Central Punjab President Senator Ejaz Chaudhary said that the release of Saad Rizvi is a good sign. "I will meet Saad Rizvi at the earliest. We hope that Saad Rizvi will play a positive role in the politics of the country," he added.

Talking to 92 News, Maulana Bashir Farooqi and renowned businessman Aqeel Kareem Dhudi said that the release of Hafiz Saad Rizvi is a good sign.

The TLP had given the government the deadline of April 20, 2021 to the government and announced the countrywide protests if their demand was not fulfilled. The government had arrested Hafiz Saad Rizvi on April 11.
