ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that he had today apprised United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres of the worsening situation in Occupied Kashmir. Addressing a press conference on Saturday, he said that he had informed the United Nations secretary general of arrests and shortage of food and medicines in Occupied Kashmir. “Yesterday Kashmiris protested at several places in Occupied Kashmir. The Indian forces used pellet guns and teargas to disperse the protesters. I have told Guetrres that Pakistan faces a serious threat from India,” he said. The minister said that he had asked the UN secretary general to play his role to protect the lives of Kashmiris. “Resolutions bind you to block this demographic change. I hope the UN will play its role for lifting the curfew.” He said that he had asked the UN secretary general to apprise P5 off the current situation. “The UN should be informed about the situation whether its meeting is held or not,” he said. FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi thanked the UN Human Rights commissioner for preparing the reports on Indian atrocities. “We ask the UN Human Rights commissioner to visit the Occupied Kashmir,” he said. He said that today India is watching the real face of India. “The UN will have to play its role to save the unarmed Kashmiris from Indian atrocities. Earlier addressing the Diplomatic Corps at Foreign Office on Saturday, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that international community must take immediate steps to save human lives in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir as the Genocide Watch has also issued a detailed alert in this regard. He said Indian that illegal and unilateral actions to change demography of Occupied Kashmir are clear violations of the Geneva Convention. “Tensions between Pakistan and India over Kashmir issue are a threat to regional peace. The war between the two atomic powers is equivalent to mutual suicide.” Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that he had talked to his counterparts of many countries and all have stressed the need to address the issue peacefully. He said that the recent session of Security Council is the acknowledgement of severity of the issue. “The Indian media is propagating the false news of an alleged terrorist attack from Pakistan to divert the attention of world community from the core issue of Kashmir.
