Today economic wars, not military, being fought: Shehbaz Sharif

LAHORE (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has said that today economic wars, not military, being fought in the world.

Talking to the media after visiting martyr's monument at Manawan on Monday, he said that Pakistan's economy is weak. "Inflation has played havoc with the country. It will wash away the government if not controlled," he maintained.

Shehbaz Sharif asked the nation to unite to deal with internal challenges. "On September 6, 1965, Pak Army jawans defended the country by sacrificing their lives," he added.

He said that the Pak Army jawans made the Indian tanks part of history at Chawinda. "Nawaz Sharif made the country invincible by atomic explosions. Pakistan is economically weak and its defence cannot be secured without removing it," he added.

The PML-N president prayed for establishment of a government in Afghanistan and its prosperity. "Peace in Pakistan is linked to peace in Afghanistan," he added.
