ToRs issue: Government to amend 1956 Act to remove opposition’s objections

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The government has decided to remove the objections of the opposition for investigations into the Panama Leaks. Sources revealed that a script had been prepared to grant more powers to the commission. Under the proposed amendment, the inquiry or judicial commission will have power to take action. On the other hand, the opposition has decided to hold consultations over whether to participate or not in a meeting of the Panama Leaks ToRs. Aitzaz Ahsan also phoned Tariq Bashir Cheema and exchanged views over the situation. The opposition is considering summoning the next meeting of the ToRs on August 8 or 9.
