ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamer Farooq stopped the police from arresting PTI chairman Imran Khan till Saturday, ordering him to appear in court.

He ruled that Imran Khan should be given a chance to appear before the court on Saturday. He ordered the district administration and the Islamabad police should take steps to provide security to him.

The IHC chief justice ruled that law and order situation should not be created during the hearing. The PTI had challenged the dismissal of a plea pertaining to the cancellation of the Imran Khan's arrest warrants in the Toshakhana case.

On Thursday, Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal had dismissed the plea seeking suspension of non-bailable arrest warrants of Imran Khan, maintaining the order issuing the arrest warrants. The court announced the reserved verdict on the plea for arrest warrants.

The court ruled that the warrants cannot be cancelled on the basis of just an undertaking.
