Trade, investment important pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy: PM

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has said trade and investment is an important pillar of Pakistan's foreign policy. PM Khan said while talking to a delegation of business community leaders in Islamabad on Monday. He also has said the government is also working on a comprehensive plan to encourage non tax payers and informal sectors join the documented economy. In this regard, the prime minister invited the business community to give their input and recommendations. He said our focus is now on promotion of growth of economy after overcoming the most difficult challenge of stabilizing the economy during first six months. “There is positive sentiment amongst the international community towards economy of the country which needs to be capitalized,” PM Imran Khan said.
Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce president briefs PM
The Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry president briefed the prime minister about the plans to hold international investment conference which he said would help highlight Pakistan's economic potential. The meeting was also attended amongst others by Finance Minister Asad Umer, Minister for Planning and Development Khusro Bakhtiar, Minister for Power Umar Ayub Khan, Adviser on Commerce Abdul Razaq Dawood, Adviser on institutional reforms Dr. Ishrat Hussain and Chairman Board of Investment Haroon Sharif.
Person solving Kashmir dispute to be worth of Nobel Peace prize:PM
Earlier today, PM Imran Khan has said that he is not worthy of the Nobel Peace prize. In a tweet on Monday, the prime minister said that the person worthy of this would be the one who solves the Kashmir dispute according to the wishes of the Kashmiri people and paves the way for peace and human development in the subcontinent. Over 300,000 people have signed online petitions calling for Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan to receive a Nobel Peace Prize after he freed an Indian pilot in a bid to defuse tensions with India. The capture of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman had become the focus of renewed hostilities between the nuclear-armed rivals which have alarmed the international community. The hashtag #NobelPeaceForImranKhan began trending on Twitter on Thursday after Khan unexpectedly announced that the captured pilot would be released as a “peace gesture”.
