Traders observe countrywide shutter down strike

LAHORE (92 News) – Traders are observing a countrywide shutter down strike on Wednesday against the imposition of withholding tax on bank transactions and warned to shut the country if the tax was not withdrawn. Earlier, All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajiran president Khalid Pervaiz said that the traders from all over the country will participate in the strike. He said that Rs 50 billion was withdrawn from the banks after imposition of withholding tax. The traders have asked the government to review their decision of imporsing withholding tax on banking transactions or there will be complete shutdown in the country including vehicles.
