Traffic resumed across country after protests by religious party

LAHORE (92 News) - Mobile and internet services suspended in Lahore as the traffic resumed after protests by the religious party across the country.

According to the details garnered, the law enforcement agencies launched an operation at Ferozepur Road in Lahore and cleared blockage of roads by the protestors. Meanwhile, the protesters threw stones at police in the resistance.

The traffic of Chungi Amar Sadhu, Babu Sabu and Bhatta Chowk restored after the operation. However, the mobile and internet service suspended in different parts of the city, while all avenues opened in Karachi.

The police arrested forty-three more protestors and recovered six petrol bombs and sticks.  

The Punjab home department suspended mobile and internet services in various parts of Lahore. The cellular phone networks and Internet service suspended due to security concerns in view of the protests by the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) in the city.
