Traffic violation fine increased on Motorways, National Highways

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The government has increased fine on Motorways and National Highways for over-speeding, signal violation and dangerous driving. According to gazette notification, fine for drivers of cars on over speeding has been enhanced from Rs 750 to whooping Rs 2,500. Fine of Rs 10,000 will be charged from drivers of over speeding passenger buses while trucks and other heavy duty vehicles would pay Rs 5,000 as fine. Meanwhile, fine for riders of motorcyclists on over speeding 1500, and wrong over-taking by fine will be 1500 both for motorcyclists and cars. However, taking wrong U-turn for bikes and cars will be 1000 as well as 3000 for commercial or heavy duty vehicles. Car drivers and motorcyclists would pay a fine of Rs 1,500 on dangerous driving while Rs 5,000 would be charged from drivers of heavy duty vehicles on the same offence. Rs 5,000 would be charged on traffic signal violation.
