Train collision leaves 20 dead, over 100 injured in Karachi
KARACHI (92 News) – At least 20 people were killed and more than 100 injured when two trains collided in the port city of Karachi on Thursday morning.
Zakaria Express and Fareed Express trains collided early on Thursday near Landi railway station in the southern city of Karachi.
Around 14 brought dead and more than 100 injured brought to hospital, while many people are still trapped under the wreckage as three bogies of Zakaria Express were completely destroyed in the accident.
All train traffic between Karachi and the rest of the country was suspended after the collision near the city's Landi Railway Station.
In September, at least four people were killed and 93 were injured when an express train collided with a freight train near the city of Multan, in Punjab province.
