Turkish president accorded Guard of Honour at PM’s House

ISLAMABAD (92 news) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was accorded Guard of Honour at the Prime Minister’s House on Thursday. Earlier, the Turkish president has arrived in Islamabad on a two-day visit to Pakistan. Prime Minister Imran Khan and other senior officials received the distinguished guest at the Noor Khan Airbase. First Lady of Turkey Emine Erdogan accompanies the president. PM Khan personally drove President Erdogan and the Turkish first lady from the Noor Khan airbase to PM House, where, the ceremony was held to accord guard of honour to distinguished guest. Posters welcoming the Turkish president were put up in the capital ahead of his arrival with strict security in place. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reached Islamabad on a two-day visit to Pakistan. It is pertinent to mention here that Erdogan is visiting on the invitation of Prime Minister Imran Khan. President Erdogan accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising cabinet members and senior government officials besides heads and CEOs of leading Turkish corporations. Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Erdogan will have one-on-one meeting at 7pm, after which they will co-chair the 6th Session of the Pakistan-Turkey High Level Strategic Cooperation Council in the joint cabinet format. At the conclusion of the Session, a Joint Declaration will be signed. A number of important agreements and MoUs are expected to be concluded. The two leaders will have a joint press stakeout.
