Turkish president offers Friday prayers at Aiwan-e-Sadar

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan offered Jumma prayers at Aiwan-e-Sadar in Islamabad today. President Arif Alvi and his Turkish Counterpart Erdogan along with high delegation from Turkey and Senator Faisal Javed reached at mosque at Aiwan-e-Sadar. They offered Jumma prayers on Friday noon. They also offered prayers  for the prosperity of both the countries. Earlier, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser began the session by welcoming Erdogan, who he said is a true friend and brother of Pakistan. He thanked the Turkish president and the great Turkish nation for their clear and just stance on the Kashmir issue. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is addressing a joint session of Parliament in Islamabad — for a record fourth time. At the start of his speech to a joint session of the parliament, the Turkish president said that he was thankful and happy to have had the opportunity to address the joint session of the parliament in Pakistan. “I am thankful for this opportunity. I am thankful to each of you individually for allowing me to address this joint session of Parliament,” he added. In his address, Erdogan thanked the Pakistani people and leadership over the warm welcome he was accorded upon arrival. “It is my pleasure to speak to you. I am thankful to you for giving me the opportunity to address this house. While in Pakistan, I feel like I am at home,” he maintained.

Kashmir issue is as close to us as it is to Pakistanis

"Today, the issue of Kashmir is as close to us as it is to Pakistanis,” he said, reiterating his support for Kashmiris. “Our Kashmiri brothers and sisters have suffered from inconveniences for decades and these have become graver.” “The Kashmir issue can be resolved not through conflict but through justice and fairness. Such a solution will be in the interest of all parties. Turkey will continue to stand by justice, peace and dialogue.”
