Two alleged facilitators held as probe into Anarkali blast continues

LAHORE (92 News) – Law-enforcement agencies arrested two alleged facilitators in the bomb blast in Anarkali.

The facilitators have been arrested from Ravi Road area.

According to sources, the explosive material was brought to the blast site in a bag. The terrorist entered Anarkali from Lohari Chowk and the explosive material was placed outside the bank.

In CCTV footage, two alleged facilitators can be seen at the site and the facilitators and the terrorist gathered at one place for sometimes. The terrorist and the facilitators were in contact with each other. They all were wearing 'shalwar kameez'.

Meanwhile, all three people killed in the blast were laid to rest in their hometowns. Funeral prayers for Yasir, a labourer, was offered in Khanpur. A large number of people from different walks of life attended his funeral.

Moving scenes were witnessed during the burial of 9-year-old Absar in Muzaffarabad. Ramazan was laid to rest in Muridke.

Six suspects have been detained in this tragic incident whereas 18 injured persons discharged from hospital after medical aid.

Earlier, three people, including a nine-year-old boy, were killed and 26 injured in a blast. Ramazan, one of the deceased, was a 'Pathoras' vendor. Nine-year-old Ansar was a resident of Karachi.

On the other hand, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has also registered a case of the blast. The case has been registered on the complaint of CTD SHO Abid Baig under sections 302, 324, 120 3/4, 109B of the Explosive Act and section 7 of the ATA. Three unknown terrorists have been mentioned in the FIR.
