LAHORE (92 News) – The Batapur police have registered a case against two people for torturing women on theft charge. DIG Operations Shahzad Akbar said that the case has been registered against Adnan, son of Mukhtar, and Ijaz and teams had been dispatched to arrest the accused. He said that no one will be allowed to torture the women. “The accused will be soon arrested and brought to justice,” he added. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar had taken notice of the incident after a video of the torture went viral on Thursday. However, the police were reluctant to register a case as one of the accused was said to be an influential person.
