Two children among 10 civilians injured by Indian unprovoked firing

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – At least 10 innocent civilian including two women and two children sustained serious injuries during the Indian unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC) on Monday. According to the press release of Inter-Service Public Relation (ISPR), Indian troops resorted to unprovoked fire of mortars and heavy weapons in Jandrot and Nikial Sectors along the LOC deliberately targeting civilian population in Jabbar, Sandhara, Sumbal Gali and Dabsi villages of Kotli district during last 24 hours. At least 10 civilians including two children and two women injured. The injured have been evacuated to nearby medical facility for necessary care. Pakistan Army troops responded effectively to Indian unprovoked cease fire violations. One Indian soldier killed, three got injured, including a major, while substantial damage inflicted on Indian posts which initiated fire. Earlier, a citizen was martyred while another injured when Indian troops resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation along in Chirikot Sector along the Line of Control on Saturday. According to a press release issued by the ISPR, the Indian troops targeted civilian population with artillery and mortar fire. As a result, an innocent citizen, Mir Muhammad, embraced martyrdom while a woman was injured in Kakuta Village. The injured has been evacuated to nearby medical facility for necessary medical care. The Pakistan Army troops responded effectively targeting Indian post which initiated the fire. On February 4, Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing of heavy weapons, including mortars, in Lepa valley along the Line of Control (LoC), deliberately targeting civilian population. According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday, four innocent citizens, including two women and a child, were injured. On February 1, a 45-year-old resident of village Madarpur was seriously injured due to indiscriminate firing in Satwal sector along the line of Control (LoC). The injured was evacuated to nearby medical facility for necessary medical care. On January 25, a woman was injured due to Indian unprovoked fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Chirikot sector. The 21-year-old woman, a resident of Serian Village, sustained serious injuries and was evacuated to a nearby medical facility. On December 19, at least two civilians were martyred and three Pakistan Army soldiers were injured when Indian troops targeted civilian population across the Line of Control (LoC).
