RAWALPINDI (92 News) – The Inter-Services Public Relations on Monday said that at least two civilians including a woman were martyred and four others injured when Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing across the Line of Control (LoC). According to the ISPR, the casualties were caused when Indian forces targeted the civilian population in Chakothi sector of Jhelum Valley district along the de facto border. The ISPR said that one man and woman were martyred in the unprovoked Indian firing. “Pakistan army troops responded effectively by targeting the Indian post which initiated the fire,” it added. Ghulam Hussain, resident of Vill Bakot, was martyred while Noushad Bibi wife of Abdul Rehman, resident of Soka Vill was also martyred. Four people identified as Raja Mehmood (r/o Darang More), Zahida Bibi (r/o Bari Bhaik), Ghulam Muhammad and Muhammad Zakir (r/o Bakot village) sustained injuries in the firing. The casualties come a day after guns again started roaring along the restive LoC after a three-day lull. On Sunday, Indian firing had left a civilian dead and four others injured in Pandu, Chakothi and Khilana sectors of Jhelum Valley district.

Earlier on March 6, At least two civilians were injured due to unprovoked firing by Indian troops across the restive Line of Control (LoC).
In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that two civilian in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) were injured by unprovoked firing of Indian forces across LoC. While providing a 24-hour situation update, maintained that Indian forces targeted the civilian population in Bagsar sector near AJK’s Bhimber district. The ISPR said that two citizens named Azmat Bibi, 55-year-old, and Baba Khan, 75-year-old, sustained severe injuries. Meanwhile, India is indulged in a false propaganda against Pakistan Army saying that it is targeting civilian population. The army has denied all such fake claims asserting that it is targeting only specific points in retaliation.
