Five die in different incidents during gusty winds in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – Five people, including two children, were killed and six injured in different incidents during the gusty winds in the city on Friday.

The deaths occurred in North Nazimabad, Gulbahai, Sarjani, Kaneez Fatima Society and Orangi Town.

The winds blowing at 50-70km/h has created a dust storm, reducing visibility to 500 metres at several places. Owing to gusty winds, motorists and bikers are facing difficulties on roads.

Talking to 92 News, Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz urged citizens to be cautious during the gusty winds. He said that there is a danger of collapse of signboards, trees and dilapidated buildings.

He said that the gusty western winds are likely to continue till tonight.
