Two new coronavirus deaths confirmed in Sindh
KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Pechuho on Friday confirmed two new deaths from novel coronavirus in Karachi, raising the provincial death tally to 13.
Provincial Health Minister Azra Fazl Pechuhu said that both patients were tested positive on April 1 and were cases of local transmission. The patients were 82 and 60 years old and had underlying health conditions
“We can confirm two more deaths in Karachi. Both the patients were tested positive on April 1 and we cases of local transmission. They also had underlying health conditions,” reads a Tweet by Sindh Health Department.
The number of total coronavirus (COVID-19) cases reached 928 across Punjab till Friday after diagnosing five new cases in Lahore within 24 hour. According to the details garnered, the number of COVID-19 positive cases rose to 928 in Punjab, while the government has tested over 17,000 people for the infection so far. The province patients of coronavirus have been reached 204 after five new cases in Lahore since yesterday, said the Provincial Disaster Management Authority. 213 cases reported in DG Khan while 142 in Raiwind, 91 in Multan and 28 in Jehlum. The PDMA is using all the resources at its disposal to control and end the pandemic, it said in a tweet. The number of total coronavirus (COVID-19) cases reached 2,450 across Pakistan till Friday while 35 people have died till now. According to National Command and Control Authority, the nationwide tally of COVID-19 patients reached 2,386 with 783 cases in Sindh, 920 in Punjab, 169 in Balochistan, 311 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 190 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 68 in Islamabad and 9 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). As many as 10 patients are in critical condition, while 126 patients have recovered from the infection. Meanwhile, the coronavirus claimed Pakistan’s 35th life on April 3.928 people have contracted #cornavirus in Punjab. 17,069 people have been tested for #Corvid19 in the province till now.
