Two passers-by die as police foil terrorist attack on check-post in DI Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN (92 News) – Two passers-by were killed in an attempt to foil a terrorist attack on a check-post in near Darazinda Morr, Drabin tehsil, Dera Ismail Khan on Friday night. Moreover, three people identified as Pir Muhammad and Banglu Khan were injured and shifted to hospital. The deceased – Sami and Naqeeb – were the employee of a nearby petrol pump. According to the police, the terrorists riding on bikes had attacked the check-post with automatic weapons and lobbed hand grenades as well. However, the attackers managed to escape. All the policemen remained unhurt in the attack. The security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search to trace the attackers. A huge contingent of police has been deployed on routes leading to mountainous areas.
At least 5 killed, 15 injured in Quetta madrasa blast
On August 16, at least five people were killed and 15 were injured in a blast inside madrasa in Quetta’s Kuchlak Killi Qasim area during Friday prayers. As per initial reports, the blast occurred at a madrasa in Kucklak, a town located near the provincial capital, Quetta on Friday afternoon. At least five people have been killed and 15 others injured in an explosion. The security personnel surrounded the area and the injured were shifted to the civil hospital. It was also reported that the attack was carried out through remote control device and the blast occurred during Friday prayers. A rescue operation is under way and security forces have also cordoned off the area. There has been no claim of responsibility as yet.
