Two police personnel killed in alleged target killing in Lahore

LAHORE (92 News) – In an alleged incident of target killing, some unidentified armed assailants have on Thursday shot dead two police personnel in Lahore’s Iqbal Town area.

As per details, the police personnel namely Mubashir and Asif were on a routine duty at a police check post in Iqbal Town when around four unknown armed assailants opened firing, injuring Mubashir and Asif on the spot.

The injured police personnel were rushed to nearby hospital, however, the doctor pronounced them dead.

After being informed, DIG Operations and Investigation also reached the spot. Dr Haider Ashraf said that apparently it seems that police personnel were targeted, however, three teams have been made and security was put on high alert in the city.
