Two Rangers personnel among three killed in Ghotki explosion

GHOTKI (92 News) – At least three people among two Ranger personnel were killed and five wounded in a blast in Ghotki on Friday. According to the police, heavy contingents of police and Rangers reached the site shortly after the blast. It occurred near a Rangers vehicle. The deceased included two Rangers personnel, Zahoor Ahmed and Fayyaz Ahmed, and a passerby, Ghulam Mustafa. Rescue workers have shifted the wounded to hospitals. It was also reported that the nature of the blast was still being ascertained. SSP Ghotki Dr Farrukh Lanjar confirmed the death of two Ranger personnel and one passer-by, while one Ranger personnel injured and now his condition is out of danger. He also said that the bomb disposal squad is reaching at the spot and it will confirm the nature of blast. Taking notice of the blast, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has ordered the Sindh inspector general to conduct an inquiry. He directed the authorities to seal and search the area for the culprits. CM Shah expressed grief over the lives lost in the incident. He has sought a report after a complete investigation into the blast.
