Two soldiers martyred during IED clearance operation in North Waziristan

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Two soldiers were martyred during an operation to clear an improvised explosive device (IED) on Tuesday.

According to a press release issued by the ISPR, security forces conducted a clearance operation in Dosalli, North Waziristan District. During the clearance operation, an IED exploded. As a result, 25-year-old Sepoy Zia Akram of Muzaffarabad and 20-year-old Sepoy Musawwar Khan of Bajaur embraced martyrdom.

The Pakistan Army troops immediately cordoned the area to apprehend the terrorists involved in planting IED. During an intense exchange of fire, one of the terrorists trying to flee was killed. The clearance operation is still in progress to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
