Two-storey house collapsed in Faisalabad after cylinder blast

FAISALABAD (92 News) – A two-storey building collapsed in Faisalabad after filling a gas and cylinder explosion on Sunday morning. According to the details garnered, the building was located in Gulstan Colony and the complete building was completely destroyed after the explosion. The neighborhood buildings were also damaged and a home servant burnt due to the blast. According to rescue sources, the explosion was reportedly caused by a gas leak. The scope of the damage, however, appears to be more severe than what a gas leak could cause. Two people – a woman and her son – were injured after being trapped under the rubble following the explosion. They were pulled out and taken to a nearby hospital. The eye-witnesses said that as soon as women servant Razia Bibi burnt stove in the ground floor, a powerful explosion occurred and she received severe injuries after burn. The explosion was so powerful that the car was thrown outside after breaking the gate due to the pressure. However, the nearby two buildings were also severely damaged. The police have not commented on the cause of the explosion and are currently investigating.
