Two women among four receive severe burns in Sialkot acid attack

SIALKOT (92 News) – Some people threw acid on a girl, her aunt and two infants over a marraiage dispute in Ismailwala area on Monday. The accused scaled the boundary wall of the house of Ayesha and threw acid on her, her aunt Saima and two-month-old Fatima and four-year-old Anaya. Later, the accused fled. The victims received severe burns and were shifted to Mayo Hospital in a critical condition. The police have regiseterd a case, but surprisingly not mentioned the name of the victims in the FIR. Locals told Ayesha’s family had refused to tie the knot with Shahbaz of Sahowala and tied her knot with another yout. On the day of the incident, Shahbaz with his two accomplices entered the house and threw acid on the family members when they were sleeping. They demanded that sections of the ATA should be added to the FIR. DSP Ramazan Kamboh told 92 News that one accused had been arrested and raids were being conducted to arrest the other accused.
