Two women die as torential rain wreak havoc in Balochistan cities

QUETTA (92 News) - Two women were killed and several people were injured during the torrrential rain in the provincial capital on Monday.

During the rain, several roofs and mudhouses collapsed. Several children were injured and vehicles damaged by the floodwater.

Several cities, Kalat, Dera Bugti, Kohlu, Zhob Pashin, Bolan and Chaman, also received a heavy rain. Low-lying areas were inundated due to the rain.

During the rain, several feeders tripped and as a result, power supply system was disrupted. The Met Office has issued a high alert of flood in the mountain range due to heavy rains.

Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Qudus Bizenjo has ordered all departments to issue directions to deal with the emergency situation.
