LAHORE (92 News) – Personalities related to showbiz have expressed grief and sorrow over the death of legend comedian Umar Sharif, saying his services will never be forgotten .

Sharing their sympathies with the bereaved family, actors Qavi Khan and Sohail Ahmed said that today they have lost their best friend. "Today the best comedian of the subcontinent has left us," he added.

Singer Attaullah Khan Isakhelvi said that Umar Sharif was a one-man show. "I worked with Jawaad Ahmed and Umar Sharif for several years. He was a great man like a great comedian," he added.

Actress Humaira Arshad said that Umar Sharif's death is a great loss not only for the artistes, but also for the country.

Actor Goshi said that Umar Sharif's demise closed a chapter of the comedy rule.

Ayub Khosa said that Umar Sharif was a great name and he was grieved at his death.

Singer Sarah Naseem expressed grief over the death of Umar Sharif.

Actress Nisho Begum said that Umar Sharif used to bring happiness to the sad faces. "He was like my brother."

Actor Mustafa Qureshi said that the subcontinent was grieved at the death of Umar Sharif. "He (Umar Sharif) used to rectify the society through humour. He was always ready to help others," he opined.
