UN chief voices concern over situation in occupied Kashmir

NEW YORK (92 News) – UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has voiced concern over the situation Indian-held Jammu Kashmir (IHK). The UN secretary-general expressed his concerns about the human right violation in occupied Kashmir and calls to resolve problem of Kashmir peacefully. Guterres will leave for India on three day visit. During this visit, the UN chief will raised voice to stop the human rights violation in occupied Kashmir and encouraged positive dialogue to peacefully resolve disagreements permanently. The UN secretary-general will arrive India today (Monday).  During his first trip to the South Asian country as head of the world body, he will meet President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj on October 3. On the one side, several people were critically injured when Indian troops used brute force on protesters in Redwani area of Kulgam district. According to Kashmir Media Service, the troops fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells on people who were protesting against the opening of a new army camp in Redwani. On the other hand, an Indian soldier committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle inside a camp at Sunderbani in Rajouri district, Jammu.
