UN Secy Gen lauds Pakistan for hosting Afghan refugees

NEW YORK (92 News) – UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has on Friday lauded Pakistan for hosting millions of Afghan refugees for about four decades.

Addressing a dinner hosted by Pakistan Permanent Representative to the UN Dr Maleeha Lodhi in his honor in Washington, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his appreciation for Pakistan's role at the United Nations.

He said that he looks forward to visiting Pakistan.

The secretary general lauded Pakistan for hosting millions of Afghan refugees for about four decades.

The dinner was attended by ambassadors from important countries representing all regions.
