UN under-secretary lauds Pakistan’s role in UN peacekeeping mission

RAWAPINDI (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Jawed Bajwa on Monday has said that Pakistan is the largest contributor to UN peacekeeping forces. The army chief said while during a meeting with UN Under-Secretary-General Jean-Pierre Lacroix at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. During the meeting, the UN under-secretary appreciated the Pakistan Army’s role in UN peacekeeping operations across the world. He also evaluated the sacrifices of Pakistani army and nation. Gen Bajwa assured that Pakistan would continue to play an effective role for United Nations’ (UN) peacekeeping operations. He also said that Pakistan is the largest contributor to UN peacekeeping forces.
