UN welcomes reopening of secondary schools in Afghanistan

NEW YORK (Web Desk) – The United Nations has welcomed the reopening of Secondary Schools in Afghanistan after months of closure due to Coronavirus pandemic.

In a statement, Chief of the UN Children's Fund, UNICEF, Henrietta Fore stressed that girls must not be kept away from the classroom.

The UNICEF chief urged the development partners to support education "for all children" in Afghanistan.
