KARACHI (92 News) – Various areas of Karachi are facing scheduled and unannounced load-shedding despite the claim regarding restoring issues of K-Electric on Friday. According to the reports, unannounced load-shedding has been intensified in the metropolis and power remains shut down for over 10 hours in several localities. Different parts of the city continued to suffer prolonged hours of announced and unannounced loadshedding, making lives miserable for Karachiites amid the sweltering heat. Karachi’s Jahangir Road, Malir, Gulistan-e-Johar and Pehalwan Goth are facing immense electricity loadshedding. The locals have alleged K-Electric of suspending the power supply for hours by fooling people over technical fault. The electricity crisis in the city has not subsided despite federal minister Asad Umer’s assurance that “there will be no unannounced electricity load-shedding” from July 12 in Karachi and also the National Electric Power Regulator Authority’s (NEPRA) public hearing on the KE’s performance.
