Unannounced load shedding upsets Karachiites ahead of summer

KARACHI (92 News) – Much to citizens’ dismay with summer just around the corner, residents of Karachi once again faced power outages and unannounced load shedding in different parts of the city on Friday. According to reports, a number of areas across the metropolis did not have power for several hours while some are still without electricity. The blackout occurred in Gulbahar, Orangi, Baldia, Lasbella, Golimar and Ranchore Line. Authorities are seeing a rise in complaints of electricity load shedding with summer just around the corner. The citizens are expressing the fear of situation’s worsening, saying that summer hasn’t even started and load shedding is being carried out already. The difference between demand and supply has caused load shedding in various areas across the city.
