Unavailability of funds for polls: SC issues notices to ECP secretary, others

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday issued notices to the attorney general of Pakistan, the State Bank of Pakistan governor, the finance secretary and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) secretary for violating the court orders.

CJP Umar Ata Bandial has summoned all the officers concerned in personal capacity in his chamber to explain the reason behind a delay in implementation of the court orders.

He also directed the ECP secretary to provide the record with regard to the elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
