KHAIRPUR (92 News) Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday alleged that a National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) was given to clerics who used derogatory language. While speaking to the press conference taking a jibe at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the former president said that an Under-14 team is running the country. He also clarified about the future leadership of the party, “Not I, but Bilawal and other players will play now,” he said. To a question the PPP leader said that Nawaz Sharif’s silence over political matters is perhaps his attempt at cooling things down in the country’s politics. “In politics, sometimes situation is heated up and sometimes cooled down,” he said. “Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz are perhaps cooling things down,” he added. Zardari also said that the PTI-led government failed to give relief to the masses. “The people are worried, inflation is rising and the prices of gas and petrol likely to more increase,” he termed. He said that he thinks the government should not go to the IMF. The former president said that the government had struck the NRO with those who leveled the allegations and used derogatory language. “Now they will arrest 1,200 poor people,” he added. He said that no bureaucrat is ready to work under present circumstances. “The PPP government had prepared the feasibility of the Bhasha Dam. Our government did work and paid the money for the lands of the people,” he maintained. Referring to PPP leader Manzoor Wassan, who was accompanying him, Zardari stated that according to Wassan’s dream, “this government will not complete its term.”
