United Goods Transport Alliance stages protest demonstration

VEHARI (92 News) – The United Goods Transport Alliance (UGTA) has on Wednesday held a protest demonstration in favor of their demands and blocked the main Multan road in Vehari.

The Transport Alliance’s District President Chaudhry Abdul Waheed and General Secretary Malik Abdul Ghaffar led the protest demonstration.

The protesters were carrying banners, placards and blocked the main Multan Road for traffic.

Addressing the protesters, Chaudhry Abdul Waheed said that the government has increased taxes, while the Custom and Excise departments are imposing heavy fines.

He demanded the government to adjust oil prices according to international market and if the government didn’t accept their demands a countrywide protest and strike.
