We are striving to eliminate terrorism from world, says Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif

NEW YORK – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that the United Nations had made the world safe during the Cold War, reported 92 News. Addressing the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday night, the prime minister said that today the world has capability to deal with different challenges. He said that the United Nations had worked for the resolution of problems across the world despite facing difficulties. "We are in favor of further stabilizing the United Nations. There will be no benefit to increase the number of Security Council members," he declared. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan condemns all types of terrorism. "We are striving to eliminate terrorism from the world." He said that Pakistan will continue to play its role in the United Nations, including the Security Council. He said that the Operation Zarb-e-Azb is continuing successfully. "Poverty is the main reason behind non-elimination of terrorism. The world, including Pakistan, faces unusual dangers and terrorism," he maintained. The prime minister stressed that the Kashmiris are an important part of the Kashmir dispute.
