UNSC meeting nullifies Indian claims that Kashmir is its internal matter: Maleeha Lodhi

NEW YORK (92 News) – Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dr Maleeha Lodhi has said that the world is concerned about the Kashmir situation. Briefing the media after the meeting of the United Nations Security Council on Friday, she said that the Kashmir issue is not an internal matter of India. “We want a permanent solution to the Kashmir issue. We will not leave the Kashmiris alone.” Maleeha Lodhi said that today Indian stance of declaring Jammu and Kashmir as its internal matter has been negated. “The UNSC has nullified the Indian claims that Kashmir is its internal matter.” She said that the voice of the Kashmiri people resonated in the chamber of the world’s highest diplomatic forum today. “We are grateful to all 15 members of the UN Security Council for discussing the situation in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. China as always stood firmly on principles and upholding international law.” The Chinese Permanent Member of the United Nations Security Council has declared that the status of Occupied Kashmir is controversial at the international level, saying that Indian unilateral acts are not right.
