Uproar in Sindh Assembly as opposition members brought 'charpoy'

KARACHI (92 News) - The uproar again started in Sindh Assembly when the opposition members brought a folding 'charpoy' (a light bedstead) during the session in the House on Monday .

"It is the funeral of democracy so should be with full zeal," the opposition members chanted these slogans with charpoy.

Meanwhile, the government members and security personnel tried to get the charpoy out from the house.

Condemning an unpleasant incident that had taken place in the assembly, Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani announced action against those who desecrated the House and also ordered a probe into the scuffle between the members from the opposition and treasury benches.

Agha Siraj Durrani has ordered Secretary Sindh Assembly, Umar Farooq, to submit a report after completing an inquiry into the incident.

On the other hand, the opposition submitted a resolution condemning that they are not being given a chance to speak.
