US acknowledges Pakistan's efforts to combat terrorism

WASHINGTON (92 News) – The US and Pakistan have strong bilateral relationship and Washington will continue to cooperate with Islamabad in war against terrorism, said US State Department Spokesman Mark Toner. Addressing a news briefing in on Thursday, he said that Pakistan will have to take action against those involved in the terrorists activities in the neighboring countries. "We have a strong bilateral relationship with Pakistan," Toner said. The US state department spokesman said that Pakistan is completely independent in taking action against terrorists and further admitted that Islamabad is carrying out action against terrorists. Toner expressed concern over increasing tension between Iran and Saudi Arabia on the occasion of Hajj.
