US delegation didn’t even mention PTI founder: Ayaz Sadiq
ISLAMABAD (92 News) National Assembly (NA) Speaker Ayaz Sadiq has said that members of the US Congress, who visited Pakistan, did not even mention Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.
Talking to the media in Islamabad, Ayaz Sadiq said that he had invited Barrister Gohar and Chief Whip Aamir Dogar for dinner in a meeting with the US delegation, adding that he had not invited PTI’s Atif Khan and Dr Amjad, for which he has evidence.
He said that it was an opportunity for PTI leaders to sit and talk to the US representatives from whom they seek help.
Ayaz Sadiq said that the US Congress members, who visited Pakistan, had not even mentioned the PTI founder, stating, “The three members of the US Congress said that they have nothing to do with Pakistan’s internal politics.”
The NA speaker said that Turkey has organised a conference on the situation in Gaza, in which a few speakers have been invited. “I will attend the conference on Gaza and present Pakistan’s position.”
He further said, “Just as we talk about Kashmir, we are talking about Palestine. Children and women are being martyred in Palestine. The Muslim Ummah has not been able to play the role it should have played.”
