US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman, Dr. Moeed Yousuf discuss Pak-US relations

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Advisor to Prime Minister on National Security Dr. Moeed Yousuf held a meeting with US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman in Islamabad.

During the meeting, Pak-US relations, changing situation in the region, economic cooperation and the regional security situation were discussed. Pakistan and the United States have expressed the desire to promote their bilateral relations.

The US side was appreciative of Pakistan's efforts for evacuation of foreigners from Afghanistan and the help it has extended to the Afghan refugees.

Dr. Moeed Yousuf said that the world must maintain contacts with the interim government in Afghanistan.

He said that Indian blatant human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir also pose a threat to regional peace.
