US didn’t block aid, but blocked our spent money: Shah Mahmood

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the US has not blocked country’s aid, but blocked the spent money. Reacting to the US decision to suspend the aid on Sunday, he said that America used to give Pakistan aid under head of the America Coalition Support Fund. “In fact it was our money spent on the war against terrorism,” he added. “US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is visiting Pakistan on September 5. We will present our stance and talk to him over new relation,” he announced. The foreign minister said that the relations will be restored while remaining within the ambit of respect. He said that Pakistan had rendered sacrifices for peace and stability in the region.
