US diplomat Col Joseph leaves Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – US diplomat Col Joseph, who had crushed a youth to death by violating a traffic signal, left Pakistan by special plane on Monday. Diplomatic sources said that the plane had left for Afghanistan. They said that Co Joseph has exemption under the Vienna Convention 1961 and Pakistan Diplomatic Privilege Law 1972. The US has assured that Col Joseph will be tried under the US law, they added. The sources said that the authorities had also handed over the police record about Col Joseph. They added that the decision on Col Joseph has been made in the light of the IHC verdict.
