US interfere in internal matters of Pakistan, says Maria Zakharova

MOSCOW (92 News) - Russia's foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has said that US is interfering in the internal matters of Pakistan.

Issuing a statement on Tuesday, she said that US pressurized Prime Minister Imran Khan to cancel Russian tour. “Pakistan rejected US pressure and that is why US decided to punish Imran Khan,” she added.

She said that suddenly no-confidence motion was submitted against Imran Khan. “An American official called Pakistani ambassador on March 7. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu had threatened Pakistan and said that partnership with US is expected to remove Imran Khan,” she concluded.
